Motorhome Hire FAQ

Our motorhomes area insured to be driven by one driver between the ages of 21 and 75 (additional drivers can be added for a fee ) who have held a full driving licence for at least two years .

Yes but if you currently have more than 8 points we will not be able to provide insurance

A insurance surcharge will apply as per conviction

Convictions over 3 years old are not required to be declared, apart from DD DR and IN convictions

Yes . All our motorhomes are fully insured by us . We provide comprehensive insurance cover for the vehicle however our insurance does not cover your personal belongings

YES The security deposit/bond is refundable upon return of the Motorhome on time, undamaged, with a clean cooker/oven & interior & with the chemical toilet cassette cleaned & emptied. In the event of damage to our vehicle (internally or externally) the £500 or part of would go towards the repair. Should the repair be in excess of £500 towards our insurance excess. For any insurance claim or accidental damage (internally or externally) £500 is your maximum liability.

No, we supply the insurance to ensure an adequate level of cover is provided.

Yes parking is provided free of charge but at your own risk

Yes we can provide a transfer service to and from airports and railway stations but this has to be arranged in advance and does incur extra charges . Please contact us for details

Motorhome Hire FAQ

Our peak season rentals are for a minimum of 7 nights (special deals available for longer durations over 21 days contact us for details). During mid and low season we can cater for shorter breaks of 3 nights

Our motorhomes run on Diesel fuel. You should be able to achieve around 25 to 30 miles per gallon.

Travel is permitted to any European destination although this does cost extra for insurance and deposit etc . Contact us for details

No. all our motorhomes allow you to travel with unlimited mileage throughout the UK and Europe

Collection is after 3 on the day the hire starts and before 11 am on the day the hire ends unless otherwise agreed . Late returns may be subject to charges as this may effect the next hirer .

Motorhome Hire FAQ

Hire vehicles are to be collected from Carnoustie (DD7).  Collection service is available as well as vehicle storage/parking for personal vehicles whilst hire.

Collection from the Airport or train station is possible, we also have free parking for customer vehicles at our compound during your trip.

Emergency services should be your first line of contact if deemed an emergency.  For anything else you should call our 24 hour line.

Hire vehicles need to be returned to Carnoustie.

Full break down cover is included in all hire vehicles.  For any minor repairs please call the 24hour advice line provided.

Motorhome Hire FAQ

Full driving licence is required, to the level of UK.

We currently only have right hand drive and have no real plans to bring in left hand drive.

If you get a parking ticket you would be liable.

Yes, our fleet of motorhomes are pet friendly.
